This will be the last post (with party poppers instead of bugles) for 2010.
The office will be closed from Monday December 20 and we'll be back on deck on Wednesday January 5. If you make bookings for courses over this time they'll be waiting for us to process when we get back ... the eftpos machine is usually running hot on that first day! So, if you haven't picked up your artwork you'll need to do so this week!
Just a reminder that there's a new exhibition - 21st Century: The First Decade opening at Goma next week -end & continuing until April 2011. For more info go to their website

suburBIA
Our final Semester exhibition suburbia was a great success with over 600 people attending the opening night and over 100 sales generated thus far. The Nona Metcalfe award which is awarded at the end of each year and gives the nominee a Semester class at the BIA was judged this year by artist & teacher Sally L'Estrange.
Congratulations to the winner, Deidre Tomlins for her oil painting Passage of Light .
Sally L'Estrange was greatly impressed with the quality of the work on display and gave out a number of highly commended awards so our congratulations also go to -
Errolyn Walker (Portraiture), Judy Keogh, Merete Megarrity (Advanced Exploring Drawing), Deidre Tomlins (Studio Painting), Robyn Stuart (Painting 3) and Danielle Rochecouste (Studio Painting).
